My dear Manik,

Your sweet note is just to hand. From this letter, I have come to know that you wanted to know about my aim in life. I am giving you a short description of it.

One night my mother died for want of medical treatment, only because there was no qualified doctor in our village. That night my grandfather told me that I would have to be a doctor to serve the people of our village. Then I was a student of class X. From that day, I was determined that I should be a doctor in future. In fact, it is a noble profession. You know that more than eighty percent people of our country live in villages. They suffer from various diseases for ignorance, poverty, malnutrition and want of proper sanitation. But the doctors and the hospitals are very few in rural areas. Most of the doctors hanker after money and honour and they prefer cities and towns to villages as their fields of practice. 

As a result, many people of the villages die without proper treatment and medicine. On becoming an M.B.B.S, I shall come back to my own village and open a dispensary in my house. I shall treat the poor patients without fee. But I shall take proper fees from the rich people to earn my livelihood. For all these reasons, I wish to be a doctor in future to serve the suffering humanity.
