My dear Sumit,
Take my love at first. I have not heard from you for a long time. So, I am very anxious for you all. You will be glad to hear that our prize giving ceremony was held yesterday in the school compound. At first, we decorated our school premises nicely with various types of coloured papers and leaves. The sports started with the national anthem at 8 a.m. All the competitors were ready.
They were in the groups. At the beginning,
the races began. The hurdle race was very amusing. The sack race and the three-legged
race were the funniest. Then came the long jump, high jump and pole jump etc. I
took part in three events. It is a matter of joy that I got the first prize in
the long jump and second prize in the high jump. But the most interesting item
was the musical chair. The dress-as-you-like was very attractive.
The function was started at 4 p.m. Mr.
Abdur Rahim, the T.N.O of our Thana was on the chair. At the beginning of the
meeting, our Headmaster read-out the Annual report. The assistant Headmaster
organized the prize giving ceremony. The T.N.O distributed the prizes with his
own hands. Then he delivered a significant speech which was full of advice. At
9 p.m. the function came to an end. We enjoyed the whole day happily. At 10
p.m. we returned home. On coming home, I found that mother was eagerly waiting
for me.
